Glen Trool
A picture from a couple of days ago. We went for a walk around the ‘Rig of the Jarkness’ which is a ridge up in the hills above Glentrool. There wasn’t much to show from the walk, photographically speaking, apart from this panorama looking down Glen Trool towards Loch Trool.

Todays archive post is once again from an area that I have visited a few times. This is Loch Trool, near Newton Stewart in Dumfires and Galloway. This was taken after sunrise with the sun just breaking through the clouds and the early morning mist hanging around the still Loch.

Sunrise in Glentrool
Todays archive post is of one of my favourite images. This is Glentrool taken not long after the sunrise just as the early morning light started to illuminate the hills behind Loch Trool.

Red Kites
Yesterday saw me at Bellymack Hill Farm where I managed to get some shots of Red Kites. These birds are an endangered species that was reintroduced to Dumfries & Galloway in 2001, and now numbers are starting to increase.
