by admin on Jan.07, 2010, under Landscapes
This is the view from a couple of days ago. I woke up in the morning to see that overnight a couple of inches of snow had fallen. It was a lovely crisp morning so I ventured out down to the shorefront to get this shot. This is Ardrossan South Beach and in the distance is the Isle of Arran.
Ardrossan Sunsets

Another trip through the archive. This post was inspired by a recent comment regarding Ardrossan sunsets. I realised that a lot of them were either sitting on my hard drive or on my pbase site. So here are another 2 or 3 old images from the great summer of 2006.

Portencross Sunset
by admin on Apr.13, 2009, under Landscapes
Yesterday was a fine sunny day. As the day wore on, it looked like there was a chance of a good sunset. I went to one of my favourite locations, Portencross in Ayrshire. As it turned out, the sunset wasnt the best but I still managed to get an image I was reasonably pleased with.
Sunset at Ardrossan

A picture from last week. I was sitting in my house watching the sun go down and decided to rush out and capture it. Time from my house to this location…less than 10 minutes. I was out, got the sunset, and back in the house all in under an hour. Never mind hanging around for the sunset like I usually do, everything was all a rush. It worked out OK in the end though. This is taken from Ardrossan North Shore looking towards the Isle of Arran, the snow covered peaks are the remnants of last weeks snow.
Ardrossan Sunset
by admin on Feb.09, 2009, under Landscapes
A sunset taken from the North Shore, Ardrossan. I am lucky to be only about 3 miles from here, so if the sunset is looking as if it would be good, I can get out for an hour or so to capture it. In the distance is the Isle of Arran.
